The COMPLEX model repository aims to improve collaboration in designing, coding, debugging, testing, documenting, and usage of models and modelling frameworks. As shown in the table below the COMPLEX model space consists of a number of socio-environmental models which support research on climate change mitigation actions. The model space consists of models which are very diversified in different aspects: (1) model domains: climate, hydrology, land use, policy, and economy; (2) spatial characteristics: vary from global level to regional level and even having no spatial dimension; (3) temporal characteristics: range from yearly to hourly levels; (4) model type: most of them are quantitative and few are qualitative; (5) license type: some are open to the public and some are proprietary; (6) methodology used: agent based, system dynamics, cellular automata, etc.; (7) programming language used: Vensim, Netlogo, GAMS, Fortran, Matlab, C++, Fortran, etc. Currently some of the models are already developed and for some models customization is going on to meet the project needs; and few model are under development from scratch.
